Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon. Our cooler water bioluminescent experience is the Bioluminescent Comb-Jellyfish. These jellyfish light up blue when they are disturbed, creating a surreal and magical effect in the water.
In the summer, dinoflagellates are present, which are single-celled, planktonic organisms. They naturally produce light so when the water is disturbed in which they are in a bright blue-green light glows. When you kayak through the sparkling water, you’ll feel like you are in another world.
Florida-Adventurer’s Bioluminescence Kayaking Tour is locally owned and operated. We know the best spots in Merritt Island Nature Reserve. Our certified tour guides are knowledgeable about the area and they will share interesting facts about the bioluminescence and other wildlife we’re sure you’ll meet along the way.
